How do you remove the blue highlights on desktop icons.?

I've tried everything under the sun, I've searched here on Yahoo, I've searched else where on the internet. I've gone to control panel, system, adavanced tab, Performance, settings, and checked use drop shadows for desktop icons or whatever it says a several times, any other solutions? Right click on your desktop background. A little list box should appear. Select ';Properties.'; In the menu that shows up, select the ';Desktop'; tab. In the bottom right hand corner there is a box that says ';Color.'; Open it and choose something that will blend with your desktop texture/picture. Click ';Apply.';
