My desktop icons have blue highlights on text?

I believe this happened after I opened a Mac gif file, which I copy/pasted to the desktop.





I've searched the net, and found solutions, none have worked.


This included un-selecting ';use drop shadow for icon labels on the desktop';

right click on desktop and select properties and in themes select windows xp default and click on it.My desktop icons have blue highlights on text?
Restore default display settings.


Go to control panel and search for what kind of icon you prefer, else select default system icons.


this will restore your icons.
