my ten year old would like some blue flashes in her hair. i dont want any bad chemicals put on her, so i was wondering if there was a temporary, non chemical, non expensive way of having this done?My ten year old daughter wants blue highlights in her hair?

If she MUST dye her hair and clip on are not okay try to convince her to get tips. It won't hurt the hair as much as getting highlights will and they'll still look cool. Plus when she doesn't want them (in about 2 months) you can just cut it off instead of re dying the highlights to get them out.

I went thru that phase only it was platinum blonde, dark dark brown, and red! It killed my hair.. What was I thinking?! Don't worry, the phase will pass. In the meantime try a product that washes out. I bought a tube of red and put a couple streaks in my hair when I felt the need and when I took a shower it washed right out! Or try a product called Manic Panic. Good luck!!!
wait a minute...she's 10 ok............... i didnt get highlights until i was grown(18) and they were soft and neutrual! wow your a cool mom!


but nevertheless all highlight do is wear your hair down really thin! especillay if your of the white or hispanic ethnicy! and they will not allow blue highlights at school because they are considered to be apart of gangs!

hot topic sells clip in color peices of fake hair and they alos sell comb in hair color. and yes they do have blue..... the peices of hiar u can take out whenever and the blue comb in color lasts through a few washes (u can read what it says on the box)

im sorry but i dont think that there are many of those. maybe check a local drug store and see if there are any hair dyes. i think there might be a few stores that sell products that last about a week

Go in to a Sally Beauty Supply Ask for wash out blue hair color. Something that washes out in like 3 washes. My little sister uses it and puts blue in her hair. Stuff like that will only really show up if they have blonde hair like really blonde hair. Good luck

at like CVS or Walgreens they sell temporary hair dye that comes out with like 8 washes. i got some and it worked and it didn't mess up my hair. i think it was ion a shiny orange box.
you could try hot topic, they have tons of exotic bright hair colours in temporary dyes.


but make sure to check the labels because they also carry permanent dye.
You could try getting her glue in hair extensions, just make sure they dont get tangled. its a bit easier than having to take out clip on hair extensions every night, and she cant go swimming with clip on ones.

You can do them at home with blue food coloring my friend's mom did it in her hair and they looked great!!!!!
if you go to Sally's beauty supply stores they have this tubes of temp. hair color. They look like mascara. She wear them only on the days she wants and it washes out.
