I have jet black hair and i want to put some blue highlights on it how do i do it myself. What # peroxide etc?

you have to bleach your hair first. use a powder lightening bleach and mix it with 40 volume ( 12% ). that is the strongest. you will need to lighten it suffieciently to a pale blonde for the blue to be vibrant and lasting.I have jet black hair and i want to put some blue highlights on it how do i do it myself. doudle the 40% peroxide lighten till white then put some blue dye on from sally beauty supply..........oops double
just go to walmart buy some buy some black dye and it ought to make it blue tinted, i had bright red hair a while back but had to dye it black because of school, and it had a bluish tint, but in the light you could see the red and it looked awesome.
at Sally's they have a lightening kit, can't remember the name but its in a yellow container(only one in yellow).......I have dark brown hair and its the only one that won't make it red, but it does have to stay on about an hour
