Can blue highlights work in jet black hair?

My mom is a hairdresser and she claims that it wont work and its too much work. But i dont care i want highlights and i wasnt planning on getting a lot just like 2. But point is i already know that it wont come out amazing but can it work. And how should i do it?Can blue highlights work in jet black hair?
I used to dye my hair bright pink all the time. I had to bleach or ';strip'; my hair color, wash, let it dry, and then apply the dye. I have naturally dark hair too and this was the only way to get the color to stay and be bright. You could probably do it yourself too if you only want a couple chuncks. Just know that bleaching your hair too much is really bad for your hair. it really dried mine out. So just section the pieces you want blue. Bleach them. You can buy hair bleaching kits at pretty much any Drug Store. Let your hair bleach for anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes. It will probably look orange but dont worry. Wash the bleach out. Let the hair dry. Then Apply the Blue hair dye and let that sit for 20-30 Minutes. And wash out.

no it wont work. nothing will work on jet black hair. you could always bleach a few pieces and then dye those pieces blue.





if you put anything on black hair you're just going to be disappointed because it will do absolutely nothing.
