How to remove blue highlights from behind desktop icon text?

I am not sure what happened ... but an incorrect keystroke somewhere has resulted in the attached text to my desktop icons (i.e. ';Recycle Bin';) now having blue squares or rectangles behind the white text. I really want to undo this! Anyone know how?How to remove blue highlights from behind desktop icon text?
Try this:

Go to control Panel

--%26gt; System (You might first need to click ';Performance and Maintenance'; )

--%26gt; Advanced

--%26gt; Under ';Performance'; click ';Settings';

--%26gt; In the list, find ';Use drop shadows for icon labels on desktop';. Make sure it is checked.How to remove blue highlights from behind desktop icon text?
I had this problem twice. once I could repair it with what I'm going to tell you, but another time, I couldn't repair it, it was a problem with my windows. so:

go to Control Panel - Display - Themes - and choose Windows XP, or switch between windows classic and windows XP. It might work.

Good Luck
