I clicked the ';html'; button--and got very confused. I want to type (like this) and then have contextual phrases lead to another URL. Sorry to be so naive ;-)How do I get text in my blog to be a link to another url %26amp; highlight in blue (like the 360 team;-)?
The easiest way is to drag-and-drop the link with your mouse in the text area. Open the link you want to use in a separate browser window from your Blog Compose window, then drag and drop it in the text area of your blog page.
Drag-and-drop option only works with the Firefox browser:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
Or, you can use HTML (which isn't difficult and it'll open the link in a new window, so your visitors do not need to leave your blog).
When you go to edit or compose a blog entry:
1. Check the 'View HTML source' box (it's located on the right side of your page/above the area where you enter text/near the emoticons/font/font colors, etc).
2.Paste this HTML tag/code into the blog:
%26lt;a href=';URL of website goes page here'; target=';_blank';%26gt;Name (Phrase) of the website goes here%26lt;/a%26gt;
You'll have to use this HTML tag, separately, for each keyword/phrase.
